The demo was fun, but after finishing it I felt like I got all I needed.

The demo felt a bit bland. There wasn’t much mechanically unique unlike a yoshi or a kirby game
humblemudgames
This game is probably great for its target audience.
HueyDeweyandBusey
I’ll kind of hold off and see if games like this and Kirby come down in price.
bobafeeet
FWIW, my four year old absolutely loved the demo for it. I’m not sure I’ll shell out full price for it, but I’ll definitely keep my eye out for a used one.
MisterPiggyWiggy
I’m definitely getting this game! ☺️

Guys, this game is for kids. It’s funny seeing a bunch of grown men saying “meh fun but I’ll hold off”. I doubt nintendo cares about your opinion. This game is obviously for little girls. Nothing wrong with enjoying it. But just remember it’s not supposed to have complicated mechanics.

As opposed to all those depressing and dangerous Mario games? I don’t understand.
M4J0R4
Yes, the game is for kids but that doesn’t mean kids don’t have standards. The demo ran like crap
TheCodyLicious
It honestly looks like a Barbie side scroller reskinned to Princess Peach.

People keep forgetting that Mario movie happened and is consistently the top 10 trending on Netflix in kids content. So there are a lot of young kids out there who know these characters and want to play their games. My four year old son loves Mario Odyssey but gets frustrated with hard parts sometimes. We played Yoshis crafted world together. I would never play a game like that on my own. The game is easy by design and I’m really glad Nintendo exists and makes games for young kids. I can trust them to make fun content that’s not predatory like some phone games.

This game is pissing off redditors everywhere.
darknightingale69
Hopefully it has the same kind of innuendo as super princess peach on ds.
Geno_CL
I’m sure more than one person here expected this game to be mind blowing and a huge event in history.
DontBanMeBro988
This game looks great, but it seems a bit of a reach at full price

If you don’t care about having the ESRB version, order from play-asia for $42. I preordered Japanese multi-language releases of Princess Peach ($42), Paper Mario TTYD ($42) Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD ($42), and Monster Hunter Stories 1 ($22) for a total of $148. Downside is I have to wait for last of them to be released for them to ship, but you can also order separately and pay separate shipping for it, but waiting a couple months for all these 4 to release I figure saves me some money since I intended to purchase them anyway.

Im a 28yo woman and im super excited, I even preordered! I don’t like scary, mysterious or even most thrilling games because it hikes up my anxiety and I just rather not lol this game is cute and the demo was easy going for me that I want more of it. My bf who plays a lot of COD, Rainbow, and 2k thought the demo was childish but I just want a cutesy girly game and hello, it’s princess peach!
StuffedHobbes
PERFECT game for me to play as I have 21 day newborn that lays and sleeps on me most of the day.
I’ve been playing Mario Golf and other games that dont require much energy to play so I’m excited to be add PPS to my lineup!

Not only is this game targeted for kids, it features a level of polish and art direction you just don’t see in 99% of games primarily targeting kids. Nintendo really doesn’t get enough credit for being the only major games developer to focus on creating AAA games that young players can enjoy.
DoodleNoodle15
I’m in it for the experience and story, not the challenge. Also supporting Peach 💖, I bought it physical so I can resale since I know I’ll never pick it up again when finished.

I don’t get why “this game is for babies” is such a slur on a game. I have a little girl who will adore this game. Little kids need games too. I play mostly Soulslikes but even I know that it’s good to have games for all kinds of people, including little kids.

So, there are only three stages + a bonus for each play?
I just watched Gamexplain’s livestream of the detective and swordfighter plays. The detective play was painfully easy, even if André was bad playing it. I could spot what he had to interact with long before he even tried. This tells me the game is too simple for me personally.
Swordfighter as well. I saw him play through 🗡️-2 and 🗡️-3 and they were significantly shorter than 🗡️-1. If all we get is 30 easy levels then this game isn’t worth the full price. I’ll wait for a sale.

I don’t get all the comments about the game being “for little girls”, or grown men saying things like “it’s target audience”, like it’s somehow beneath them.
I’m a mid 40s year old man, downloaded the demo and had a blast playing it. I’ll probably buy it, it was fun. It feels about on par with Kirby and the Forgotten Lands and Super Mario Wonder as far as adventure and fun, and those are the two best games I’ve played in years.
I’m excited for this.

I just preordered this game after playing the demo with my 4 year old daughter. She loves Peach but is terrible at games still, this was easy enough for her to participate while I take on anything that requires coordination. It seems like good game for her to learn various game mechanics while still keeping her interests. We’ll see… as long as she’s happy, I’m happy.
robzombie03
Maybe my 4 & 7 year olds will stop playing Mario 3-D World now.

Waiting on a copy to arrive tomorrow from Walmart with scrunchies and ordered a wedding Peach amiibo from the restock last week – they’re both going in my 7 year old daughter’s Easter basket. From the reviews it sounds like it’ll be perfect for her. She’s also obsessed with Peach. Also hoping it kicks her off Roblox for a bit…

Yeah i played the demo and it felt very safe 😒😒😒 Its pretty much a children’s game with tiny levels.
