Does anyone know why I can’t complete the “Use 5 super effective charged attacks” request for the Zarude event? I’ve obviously been able to do it twice, but for whatever reason it never updates now despite me using super effective charged attacks constantly with Rocket grunts. They’re also how I got the first 2 ranks

I remember seeing someone mention that for some reason it won’t count if the charged attack KOs the pokemon. So just undercharge your attacks a bit and finish off with fast moves if that’s the issue you’re having
Try using a super effective charged attack that doesn’t knock out your opponent.
Easiest way is by pressing the battle menu, scrolling down, click one of the leaders and bring a Pokemon with a super effective charged attack and then just dont tap any of the bubbles.
Yes. It’s bugged. The charged attacks cannot kill the target. If they do, it won’t count.

I just used electric type attack against blanche
Try and find a pokemon that has different types for its fast and charged attacks. My go to for this is a dugtrio I keep around specifically for this ~ 1000CP rock type fast move and ground type charged move, battle great league Spark and just don’t hit any of the bubbles during the charged attack. If you wanted to get really into it you could look at min IV attacks and a charged move that doesn’t have STAB
it’s annoying because this bug exists for 50 years, the best way for me was battling one of the Trainers like Candela and using underpowered charge attacks so other don’t totally faint
You can go against the Team leaders and they will count. Grab some water pokemon and fight Candela a couple times.
Battle trainers and Just don’t touch the screen when u have a charged attack after u hit the botton
