What's absolutely incredible is that they didn't need to change anything at all. The avatars were fine. They weren't good but they were fine for what they needed to be. I've never once played a Pokemon game and thought "Man, I wish my character looked less cool so it'd be closer to my appearance."

I don't care if I get hate for this but I don't want to watch or play any movies and games if the protagonist is a black person. Not because of race or gender, but because it's obviously propaganda bait.
What makes no sense about this update is the fact they make people look so fat and ugly without consent.
There is plenty of games that happily give you the option to make either fat characters or just monstrous abominations, just like at street fighter 6. You can make basically whatever you want. Why cant they just simply add in sliders and give players choice?
I also have tons of fat friends and gay friends as well, and the majority of them when they play character creation games PREFER to make pretty characters. Hell just go to IMVU and HALF life and many of the players are over weight but prefer to be slim characters.
It's a escape from reality, it's what they want, people work hard, a lot of people are overweight because they work long jobs and unfortunately find themselves lacking time to slim down or diet plan. This update just makes literally zero sense. Yes there is a player base that likes to make characters closer to how they look IRL. But i promise you the majority just prefers making a cute/cool character that doesn't even resemble them.
And I know this cause i'm friends with gamers because im a gamer and a lot of them are not in optimal health, yet still rp as big muscle daddies or sexy ara ara milfs.
Why remove choice? Literally all they had to do was build a slider option to make the characters chunkier if the player happened to want to.

It's very simple; just stop playing and stop spending money. Companies can do whatever dumb virtue signalling they want, but at the end of the day, they still need money to survive.
