The sad thing about this is that, the general Pokémon Game Community is slightly at fault in all of this. The mediocrity they suffer is the mediocrity they financed. They faced several assault in content quality throughout the decades, the Dexit, buggy games, laughable graphic quality, overpriced products, and predatory DLCs. They suffered all of this, and the Pokémon community, despite allegedly voicing dismay, still bought into the lastest pokemon content. They let their wallets speak louder than their mouths. The Pokémon company learns that complaints are hollow and their lovely herd of "sheeps" are too addicted to their product that they will still buy anything, even litteral garbage, as long as it has the Pokémon Branding on it. Now, the Pokémon Community have to go on to extreme lengths just to have the message across and to have their complaints heard because the community already had a track record of being all bark but no bite about complaints. All i am saying is, if they have been more vigilant about shticks like this in the past, they wouldn't be having a hard time getting this issue solved, heck the Pokémon company would have not try to pull this stunt at all.
Have to disagree, I have friends that are more appreciative of the chunky character bodies, because it fits them better. The too skinny models made them feel bad.

From what I heard, they also coupled Pokémon Go to Pokémon Sleep and the avatar would reflect your height and weight in Pokémon Sleep.

Just a little rebuttal. Beauty isn't objective. Through time and cultures beauty standards constantly change. There are a few common themes like symmetry and not being overweight, but stuff like "best" butt size or skin color were different in the past.
In the end, all of this is to implement a dictatorship. What other reason would anyone have to deny everything that is real, everything that is true?! The only way for a dictatorship to last is if people are used to denying reality.

You're missing a few key points in this. The character customizer got a bunch of new options and sliders for chest, shoulders, and hips. So while the default avatar looks more androgynous you can give it more feminine/masculine traits if you want. There was also a general graphical overhaul is this update so it wasn't just this they changed. So it's not nearly as bad as you guys make it out to be and the devs are taking feedback on the update so I don't think they have strong political reasons for these changes.

Pokémon go fan like me want more Pokemon from other games and more Pokemon balls other then one have in the game now like the net ball or dive ball, no but what we got was a quick slapped together avatar custom that doesn’t work right. I was talking about Niantic not Pokémon completely and I think Pokemon didn’t really know what was happening to everyone else did
