New series. In this series I go over the history of pokemon including their meta relevance in GBL. In the series I will go over important information like stats, moveset, and typings; what seasons the pokemon were relevant in and why; and how to team build with the pokemon.

The best Ottawa Pokemon Go Youtuber….is Poke Daxi but I am here too
This channel is where you come if you want ideas for:
Great League Teams
Ultra League Teams
Master League Teams

Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.

This week it is great league and master league premier. Master league premier means no legendary pokemon.

  1. Try Skeledirge lead, Lanturn, Cradily. I duck after two incinerates if its a bad matchup.

  2. Used your togedemaru team and I destroy people with it…..I one shot an avalug with double boosted wild charge and FUN FACT a double boosted wild charge 2 SHOT a XL BASTIODON !!!! Like bro toge is SO strong !

Edit : Only difference is my sableye runs power gem since it isn’t purified its a 15-15-14 at 1499 cp so not terrible ((: also used Cresselia as a safe swap over sableye for a few games and it did good as well!! But TOGEDEMARU MAN , 2 shotting XL Bastiodon is ACTUALLY INSANE

  3. ive been getting big gains with a carbink lead, trevenant safeswap and decidueye backline. its A-B-B but also kind of balanced due to the meta, every teams running a water and/or fighting type pokemon. u have 2 grass that will double resist fighting moves and carbink cover the backlines weaknesses. steel types can be tough to deal with but you can hit neutral w the ghost moves (ideally get the trev on it).

  4. I really like the Skarmory -> Sableye against the Lanturn replay-by-play all the way through the claw down! Thanks for pointing out the decision points that you went through.

  5. Hey Dan,

Very much relating to your dilemma. I have so many GL mon built and keep giving new teams a try with mon I like and am getting lackluster results. I keep switching back to the “stale” meta to climb, but it’s honestly so boring. Whish, Lanturn, Skarm, etc provides success, but I can only play a set or 2 before boredom kicks in. Anyway, I’m a huge fan and watch at least one of your videos everyday and you’re killing it. I mostly watch your “Best GL/UL teams” to get ideas and escape the boredom of the baseline meta. Talon is one of my favorite to use, but all the waters and FMD with incinerate also deters to me after a while. Keep doing what you’re doing!

  6. I tried this team recently but I kept on losing to Grasshole. It's a good team against more meta mon, but there's a lot of bastidon-Vic-Wiggly in the low 2000's.

  7. I've been using skarmory > dewgong > mud bomb non-s quag with some success, weakish to electric leads, annihilape, and talonflame. Around 2.3k but only my 2nd gbl season and I've limited pokemon built so consider for what it is. I think it's a nice pseudo ABB, most of the time winning vs lanturn

  8. i feel like whilst the meta is more open, all the teams are more rps and rng based on debuff, whilst the game still requires skill, the rng and line up I feel like plays a much bigger role this season

  9. Dan I’ve played the swampert vs annihilape lead a ton, and your best bet is to switch to sableye immediately, and what usually happens is your sableye will get their counter Pokémon low enough to where you can farm down with your swampert or skarmory and come out with a bit of energy to throw at their Annie, otherwise you’re gonna keep struggling against Annie leads, since Annie players LOVE to double shield and farm down with counter

  10. Sandslash , Whiscash , gligar safe swap as been amazing for me but I’ve recently been using ape instead of gligar for my safe switch and ive been doing pretty good u should try it some time

  11. Dan try Giratina, Mandibuzz and Empoleon. I’ve been cooking with it! You want to draw out lanturn with Mandibuzz especially Shadow Dragonair leads. Can usually get 2 dark pulses and an Ariel Ace off without shielding on the lanturn then free farm the rest with Tina. Hope Empoleon sweeps in the back!

  12. Hello. It would be helpful to me if you could consistently mention counts in your videos. A quick- mudshot 2 vs volt switch three so I throw on yadayada. I don’t know much but would rather learn through watching your experience vs learning a chart. Thanks

  13. Isn't throwing a fast move first into Azu a good idea, as a full bubble will sneak anyway? Also, if you throw the BB on the last turn of the bubble, you won't yet be debuffed, when the bubble damage hit you.

  14. Been having some success with Mantine, shadow Whiscash and shadow Cradily. Mantine as lead, s.Whiscash to break electrics & fires, and s.Cradily to hit opponent mud bois or flyers (especially Talonflame & Charizard). S.Cradily holds suprisingly well with neutral damage from fire & water types (although sometimes I have to use a shield in order to get Rock Slide to hit). Mantine breaks dragons & Annihilape leads too.

  15. I went on a 2400-2800 run with Shadow Alolan Sandslash lead, Shadow whiscash safe switch, mantine in the back. The A/ Mantine core is great. I've been running shadow claw on my sandslash so I can take on azu, lanturn, and mirror leads (which seem pretty common in expert rn, everyone is running the same like 10 pokemon). Running into a Lickitung lead is probably the worst case scenario. You have to play it out. You win the 0's, but if they shield then dump their energy u can shield back and come right in whiscash to farm them down before they make a move. Even on teams where you get punished by shadow Vic, shadow mudbombs hurt and put them in 1 shield farm down range for A/.

  16. I’ve done very well with Annihilape (NS/SB), shadow feraligatr, and Registeel! All top ranked as the best lead, safe swap, and closer!
