  1. actually right now Japan would be a good place to buy the coins with the current exchange rate being quite good, the 550 coins are 800 yen I believe, unless there was another increase after the initial 33% price raise I know about, so 800 yen currently would be like 4,80 Euros /5,15 Dollar

  2. When Niantic inflated the price of remote raids, got rid of decent box bundles for 1480 coins, people got pissed. You can't blame people for going for something that would be advantageous, especially with Niantics scummy behaviour of late in PoGo. Its funny that in MHN, they are literally giving players everything they could have ever wanted, and its much easier to do FTP. The Sh*ttification of PoGo is a shame, cos it genuinely is a great idea, but since 2022, they have been on a fast downward trajectory. They are still making money, so don't care, but surely from a business point of view, having people buy a lot of premium items and spending maybe 40 a month, compared to them going FTP cos of the blatant greed…I dunno. Before I would have gladly remoted regi or whatever rubbish was in raids cos why not. Now I'm like, feck that, and I am definitely not the only one. Like they had Harry Potter WU, which should have been a success, as one of the biggest IPS in the world, and they utterly made a haimes of that.

  3. Some big head with 25 years of experience (in selling shoes) had been taking really weird decisions lately… Give up entire countries to get the slighest chance of making cheap people pay more is a crazy idea

  4. You didnt need a vpn all you needed to do was set your billing address to somewhere in turkey and then just pay with virtual debit cards or just buy turkish itunes giftcard

  5. Turkey players mad they have to pay our conversation rate. This is why we have been complaining. Welcome to the club.

  6. does anyone know a method to be able to actually buy at the lower prices on the web store. because when I go to check out with a currency that's not USD I can see the other currency until I press buy and then it will revert me back to USD.

  7. Well, I did it for about 1 year but then Google stopped my transactions, so it was not done by Niantic. You had to change your payment profile, changing your address with VPN was not enough. It was much cheaper also for different event tickets and I did it mostly because Niantic raised prices for remote tickets- it was my protest.
Well, this is how global economy works and I agree that it is not fair for those that live in those countries.

  8. Pokecoins was only worth in turkey, normal prices in dolars is ridiculous. I wont buy any more pokecoins, they could earn less, now they wont earn anything. Big brain niantic.

  9. Dude, you don't know what you're talking about. The 100 coins were 8 cents! So it was a tenth of the price! Not just little less than half.

  10. I never did this but no shade on anyone who did this. Really Scummy of Niantic to inflate the price in a part of the world that is already poorer than the US.

  11. They’re quick to change it because they’re consistently losing money. They’re still losing money because now Turkish players aren’t going to pay and I’m definitely over paying them. The raids have been so cheeks for the last couple rotations

  12. Just saying the math is wrong
if you topped up in 100 coin steps it would have been ~$15 USD ish for 14500 🙂 so 30 bucks or 200 bucks is a massive massive difference
and they fixed the 1'200 coins bundle shortly after

  13. This is nothing new.. it's been being done on so many games all the way back to 2012 as far as I knew of it. But JUST SO YOU KNOW YOU CAN STILL DO IT ON THE WEB STORE AND ITS LESS.. I PAY WITH THE South Korean Won and pay the equivalent of 80$ USD for the $99.99 pack

  14. Ninantic made turkey players suffer because of this . Their store is not affordable for them at all.

  15. With the loss of income from the Avatar issue they are going to have to close all these types of things. Its not new when a country has a hard economic situation major companies do it all the time its like a scale and it is covered by places that can pay more. Governments even do it in places like empowerment zones. Huge store chains will price by the local economy. All is good and the companies cannot care till they take a hit in another area.
