New series. In this series I go over the history of pokemon including their meta relevance in GBL. In the series I will go over important information like stats, moveset, and typings; what seasons the pokemon were relevant in and why; and how to team build with the pokemon.

This channel is where you come if you want ideas for:
Great League Teams
Ultra League Teams
Master League Teams

Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.

This week it is great league and master league premier. Master league premier means no legendary pokemon.

  1. Azumarill is a great example to needing double nukes to beat it and at that point why call it a nuke when you need two zap cannons to beat it

  2. Registeel is so one note. There isn't a lot of room to use it to outplay your opponents. With swampert you can easily store a hydro cannon and use it later to snipe your opponent's pokemon. Counter users can often choose to farm down in winning situations and come out of the fight with tonnes of stored energy.

With registeel you can't farm down and you can't store two moves. This limits its ability to be dynamic and it's predictability leaves you open to being outplayed by your opponent.

  3. I want to see the Meganium episode and how Body Press Meganium could come back from the dead if the move is a Flying Press clone or similar

  4. I’ve been using it and all you have to do is get a shield advantage. That’s half the battle. Now I just gotta learn the undercharge farm down. Put in the time, to win the prize.

  5. I racked up 200 Xl canxy this week for registeel. Now hoping for a good one from trading for ultra league! Already got a really good one for great league

  6. I miss people running regi with medi. I used to swap granbull in against medi they’d send in registeel and granbull can get off 2 closecombats before regi gets off 3 charged attacks and swap out again. Lock on would no like no damage while the resisted charms taking down almost all of Regis health

  7. I like you a lot as a YouTuber and was wondering if you would like to feature my great league team. Annihilape lead, altaria safeswitch, skeledirge closer/charger. I know you’re busy with family and stuff as well tho. The skeledirge I use is also rank 1, I went 4/1 in a set today, got hardcountered at the end. It’s a lot of fun and think it has potential

  8. Thing I hate most about using Regi is when you soft-lose another matchup and have to come in to farm down with it. Used to happen to me all the time when Noctowl was still meta. Say it came in against your swap and it won switch, but you got it into the red. Get ready to eat 2 shadow balls or something on regi and be in the red yourself before you get it dead. And you only get 1 and a bit moves yourself for your trouble

  9. I remember that when the Regis came into the game they nick names for them was Garbage Cans! Lol it was so funny bc they didn’t have no play whatsoever in the game at the time! Then PvP came out but it was not until later season 2 or 4 that Registeel saw some play… short live since Swamper took off… am G-Stunfish later came out!

  10. Imo a big factor with Registeel is you can never double up on moves….give it a 50 energy move and i think it would make it a way better pokemon

  11. Ive been using teams that consists of mon like charm a9, dragonair, goodra, poliwrath, skarmory, bastiodon and kept getting RPSed. Today I tried to use a less RPS line with whiscash lead, sableye, and regsteel and noticed a huge difference in getting less RPS'd and winning a lot more

  12. All of registeels weaknesses are just so prevalent in great league right now plus a ton of water types which deal heavy damage with neutral water type moves.

  13. Because I can't run into a single team that isn't running whiscash, glilgar annihilape or poliwrath

  14. These kind of videos have been interesting that I have went to check pvpoke on wayback machine to check old rankings for past seasons.
It allowed me to see different team build ups.
