To roughly quote a guy who said niantic has never broken laws in their stores, and was calling me an uneducated idiot: ‘There are always armchair experts in every group, pretending they know what they are saying about the law’.

If your still a current player regardless of how this turnedturns out we’ve all waved our right to participate in any class actions against niantic. So even if ot were decided they had to pay 80 or so percent of those who this pertained to wouldnt be allowed to collect on it anyways.
