Mankey is my favorite Pokémon, so obviously I was happy to see it get a cool final evolution when they made Annihilape, but recently I started thinking about stuff that would’ve made me love it even more.
First of all Fighting/Fire is my favorite type combo, so I thought what if it was that instead. And you could totally justify it. In my head, the explanation is that Primape’s rage got so intensely heated that its body actually burst into flames, causing it to evolve. Also, being Fire-type meant I could color it orange, which is my favorite color.
If this was what Annihilape actually was, it would definitely replace Mankey as my favorite Pokémon.
