This mega evolution is based on the Maned/Crin Wolf, one of the largest canines in South America who have very long legs for areas with tall grass. Their fur makes them look like red foxes (Bulbapedia claims Theivul may be based on red foxes). I also decided to make it a thief who has been caught and needs to make a quick getaway, but since Thievul is more of a gentleman thief I decided to make Mega Thievul distract foes with a light show, thats what its tail is, along with looking a bit like a glove. I also thought it would be a good opportunity to bring its rivalry with Boltund back in the spotlight.
