Alrighty, time to introduce and explain these guys
The first stage is called Shrubbit, and as you could probably guess it is based off a Jackalope. Shrubbit is just a lil’ grassy jackalope as their first stage. Shrubbit is a combination of the words shrub and rabbit, and is a pure grass type
When Shrubbit evolves they evolve into Cottonjack. Cottonjack is a very skilled fighter and challenges any tough looking foes they can find, winning pretty much every duel they have. Due to his high combat skills he has grown overconfident and smug, think he’s the best of the best. Cottonjack is a combination of the words cotton, cottontail (name for a rabbit), and jack from jackalope. Cottonjack is now a grass/fighting type
When Cottonjack evolves they evolve into Wendioak. Due to the overconfidence of Cottonjack, Cottonjack one day was too confident in their abilities and challenged the wrong foe. They challenged a powerful guardian of the forest who had on overwhelming victory over Cottonjack. And to teach them a lesson they inflicted a curse on them, preventing them from their true evolution. Wendioak now takes the form of a wendigo, while still also being a jackalope. They are overgrown in branches, with their face being fully covered with a skull-like appearance that is connected to their antlers. The fire they have on their antlers is the curse they bear, preventing them from being able to grow any kind of lush and beautiful plant-life. Wendioak is from the words Wendigo and oak, and Wendioak is now a grass/fire type.
