I don't know if it's a score issue, but I'm in the 2300-2400 range and all my matches are people who count moves perfectly, catch every move, and call out every bait. And on the other side of the spectrum, I lose 5 seconds of every match to the lag despite having a 1gbps network.šwatching these also made me squirm.

I came back after a 5 year break from the game but I never pvp'd when pogo came out. As someone who is just starting to try in 2024, your videos have helped me a lot.
That's what it's like at that ELO range. You can be stuck down there despite knowing the mechanics of the game, yet you'll come across so many noobs who make you wonder how they can be level with you

This is totally insane. My opponents at 2000-2150 play better than anyone in this video. My opponents make inspired catches and are clearly counting because they ALWAYS throw one fast move before I can.
I'm legitimately starting to believe in the algorithm giving us AI opponents. Yesterday I went 5-0 in my first set. In my second set, I went 1-4, but it was like playing a completely different game. They denied me CM after CM like it was automatic. My Mantine on lead ran into 2 Charjabugs, 2 Dedenne, and a Galvantula in a single set. So I switched my team around. Let's try Machamp on lead. Gligar, Mantine, Clefable, Mantine, Gligar. We can't really be expected to believe that shot like that JUST HAPPENS, right?
I'm pretty sure i'm quitting the game. As soon as I feel like I understand how to play, I go 7-18 again.
EDIT: And honestly, seeing all these players in this video rated WAY higher than I am playing like absolute garbage makes me angry. Confused and angry.
i honestly havent played GBL for a week or 2 weeks at all because of the lag. I cant count my moves even. i used to play every day and watch every one of your videos still but man its frustrating

I just hit expert in my first season. In my next set after hitting it, my Altaria lead was hard countered four times out of five. It struggles against steel, rock, fairy and ice. Iām happy to hit expert but surely this canāt be explained without an algorithm since two carbink leads in one set is crazy
I enjoy both the scripted and the sidebars because itās all important and adds to the discuss. Thereās always something to talk about for GBL and thereās always controversy so it makes good content to break everything down
They could at least let us tm away frustration during catch cup to give players more options
5:50 I've run into a few Poliwraths during catch cup running Dynamic Punch (did some content creator do a video on Poli with Dynamic Punch?) maybe they had that and that's why they threw the icy wind.
Pretty sure those catches in low elo are lucky as heck lol
Kind of annoyed youāre showcasing a legend player beating on players 600-700 elo below their skill level with a somewhat meta team (2/3 of it being meta with empoleon and dirge). Not only is this annoying in itself, but even more so after you released a vid like a day ago ranting on legend players throwing.

I just got to veteran in this cup today using lanturn, gligar and carbink. Only thing I really powered up was carbink. Everything else I had made like 45 days ago

Im sorry, Dan, but if you're going to showcase legend players who like to tank and yet you posted a previous video about tanking complaining about it, it doesn't make sense and isn't genuine from yourself as player of this game.
Why would you make a video complaining about prior, then showcase a submission from a legend player who loves to boast about tanking down to 300 Elo just to rise back out of it for free dust for his own selfishness to beat on others that are not as good as him? This is like an NBA basketball player dunking on an elementary school basketball team of kids for the hell of it.
