(Let me preface this, by saying that Serebii by far has the most clear cut compendium for sprites compared to all the other sites out there. Especially for going back between all the generations.)
HoweverThese are the sprites for Zubat for each gen (save 9 as it isn't there yet).

WHY IS RUBY/SAPPHIRE SET UP AS THE REGIONAL DEX FOR NUMBERING
So I'm doing some messing around in google sheets to pull images from serebii because they have the best way to just easy code for pulling, since almost all of them follow the same format. Just thought it was funny that for whatever reason, gen 3 (Ruby/Sapphire) is wonky Emerald is fine.
A) It's all based on regional dex.
B) For mons that are not in hoenn, but are in nat dex, they just kinda slap them on after hoenn dex (charmander is 206 instead of 4 cause 202 in hoenn dex)
C) For mons that were native to Hoenn, and not native to Kanto, FRLG used the same sprites, so it is set up in the Ruby/Sapphire directory.
IDK, Just thought it was weird.

You realize it’s basically one dude on his own who has been running this site for years?
He doesn’t charge us anything to use it.
Instead of shitting on him, you could write him an email and help the dude out.
My guess would be that it’s because when Ruby and Sapphire came out, it was sort of the original dexit because lots of Pokémon simply weren’t available (no backwards compatibility/trading with previous games to complete the Dex).
Just have made sense at the time but later on it was just not really worthwhile to change it.
Didn’t make the website worse, as I’ve been using it since almost day one!
