The mothers starve themselves when it happens. The ones who are exiled in turn become much more powerful than their siblings.
Kagekiri, the Night Owl Pokemon
Lurking in forests where even moonlight cant reach, they stay motionless, cooling their blood and slowing their heartbeat to the point where neither could be felt. In one fell swoop, they take down prey with their wingtalons, ensuring the prey’s quick demise. Bird enthusiasts suggest that this behaviour is not due to efficiency, but for its hatred for suffering, but it is hard to tell the difference.
