Ever wondered why WATER types are good through the ages?

Hey guys! Not sure if this is allowed but I made a video about my analysis on why Water types are good and consistent in the entire Pokemon franchise! Feel free to give it a look and be as critical as possible!

I included some case study in there as well but a lot of them are singles oriented so I'd love to hear the thoughts of yall who are more experienced in VGC format!!

Can you do a video on steel types or ghost types for me? Pleeeeease

Because they have 2 weaknesses, 4 resistances, and is super effective against 3 types. And the rest is neutral

Like its very similar to electric which has 1 w, 3 r, and is se against 2 of the most common types.

True, plus with lots of benefits to Rain Dance too and good water based abilities like Swift Swim, Water Absorb and Storm Drain.

Love my Greninja, Feraligatr and Gyarados.

We all came from the water, we all rely on water, and we’re all made of water! Water is perhaps the most consistent Type in the entire series, with tons of crazy options to choose from!

Araquanid, Toxapex, and Jellicent are my favorites 🙂

Like other people have said, only 2 weaknesses, 4 resistances, lots of benefit from Rain Dance. This video sums it up perfectly.

Gyarados, Swampert, and Lapras are my favourites.

I already know the reasons, but I’ll give it a watch anyway.

I always thought it was because Grass has more defensive Pokemon and Fire has more offensive, while Water is a good mix of both.

    They’re just built different

And by different I mean better

  9. Because they can learn Surf and/or Waterfall. Instantly elevated them to high powered status
