so, I've been a great fan of the franchise since I was just a silly little girl and played all the generations from 1 to 5 — except for gen 4. when I finally tried to play it back then in 2021–2022 iirc, I wasn't at my best moment and ended up abandoning the gameplay
but time flies, I gave it another chance and now I understand why you guys say it's the peak of the franchise. Unova was my favorite gen (and probably will be again once I replay its games), but until then, Sinnoh has a special place in my heart. Team Galactic is by far the most intriguing villain team I've ever seen in these games, the puzzles were really fun to solve and the camera angle changing when I had to chase after Cyrus in hell (AKA Giratina's Distortion World) made my head blow and cemented the experience as something I'd like to forget only to relive it again as if it was the first time
my only "complaints" aren't even actual complaints tbh, but rather some silly stuff I didn't like personally (such as how hard it is to move through the mud and catch that little pink monstrosity called Mesprit)
