Crowds of people looked up to screens keeping an eye on Kage, as he raced against time–and the World’s Strongest CROSSIL.
“Holy SHIT, he’s really letting that thing chase him! H-he doesn’t stand a chance if it catches him!”
“How brave!”
“***GO GENGAR, GO!!!***”
“DON’T LET THAT THING CATCH YOU!”
“RUN FOR IT, DUDE!! BEFORE HE GETS YOU!!”
“PLEASE DON’T DIE! AGAIN!”
“YOU *GOT* THIS, BIG G!!”
“**FASTER MAN, FASTER**!!”
“***GO GHOST, GO!!! GO GHOST, GO!!!***”
It hardly mattered that this was the first time anyone in this town had even seen this Gengar. Let alone that he had been living in Celadon City’s gym the entire time. Let alone that he was Erika’s friend, kept secret from the entire city until today. Let alone that he represented a double life led by the former Nature-Loving Princess.
They were still cheering for him.
The cowardly yet courageous Ghost Pokemon that stepped up first, despite his immense terror. Despite the veritable tidal wave of hatred and overwhelming power pursuing him, threatening to catch up and swallow him whole. Even though up to this point, he had been afraid to even show his face to anyone but Erika.
He was still going to save them all. And for once, nobody needed to be told that.
Yet, his panic began to deepen–as he was seeing enemies arriving from the front. He knew what those seemingly superfluous enemies were for. At this speed there was no way he could possibly dodge them!
*Here they come…*
