Below the shelf is 150 packs of sun&moon sword&shield and scarlet&violet. The shelf has legs on the side so there's no pressure down on the packs.

I wish my parents did this for me!
**buys a booster box… opens 35 packs and puts 1 in the tickle trunk 🤣
What’s a fun and awesome idea.
My son turned 10 on Saturday and had just shy of 100 packs to open from across the eras of Pokémon TCG right up to Stellar Crown which came out the day before, it was a good day!
I have to say though, compared to the modern stuff the pull rates on all of the old packs I had acquired (some at expense!) were absolutely horrible.
He was beyond excited at all the 151 (24 packs) as he got into Pokémon after that had already disappeared from UK stores.
You will open it in two years.
Nothing beats cracking packs with your kids!
Such a cool idea! But how are you gonna wait that long?! I don’t think I could lol
“Well kid you’re… *counts on fingers* 8 hours old, I think you’re ready!”
Use a different box. That one does not look safe for the long term storage of cards. Great idea though!
This sounds incredible but also it’ll be Sod’s Law that you’ll get to his 10th birthday and he’ll hate Pokémon for some obscure reason
After you finish it bury it in the backyard. Then when ur kid gets into pokemon you can tell him that a pokemon trainer used to live in the house or something. And then some other story line stuff and then u dig up the treasure chest 😂
HA I am starting to do something similar. Everyone is hording packs and such for collecting and investing.
Me and my son open together and make videos about it (he is 9). I am buying extra booster bundles and checkout lane blisters of every set as they come out and I hide them away so that in a few years he will have a bunch to open and enjoy just by himself. I need to make a kickass box now though to store them in.
I immediately sent this to my hubby for the future! I love this and am totally stealing this idea!
I opened a couple Shrouded Fable tins with my son and he was more excited about the included stickers than the actual cards lol 🤷♂️ this is a cool idea tho hopefully your little one appreciates them!
How great an idea this could be is directly proportional to your levels of willpower
“Dad I think whoever you bought these from sold you resealed packs…”
W
A Loot Chest! Nice!
Hahaha that kid was born to rip his father’s packs
Imagine your kid hating anything pokemon related 10 years from now lol
You’re awesome
30 years from now: “Just found this box of old pokemon cards in my parent’s attic. Are these worth anything?”
Awesome idea! I definitely agree with the comments to keep the packs in a plastic tub with silica packets and to also keep the chest set aside. Then on his 10th birthday put the packs in the chest like lost (but we’ll preserved) treasure!
This is why I love collecting sealed product, so that some day my children can enjoy the joy of opening cool Pokemon stuff and experience what I loved about Pokemon as a kid.
Remind me 10 years when we get the following post:
“Dad left me 300 packs but no hits. Pretty sure he resealed them”
10 years later : my dad gave me a chest full of boosters. Should I keep them sealed or should I open them ???
