This regional Rattata is adored for its gentle nature and charming appearance. Its large, round ears allow it to detect even the faintest sounds, making it incredibly alert to its surroundings. Unlike its Kantonian and Alolan counterparts, this Rattata prefers human companionship, often living in households as a beloved pet. It is known to playfully scurry about and listen for subtle shifts in the environment, acting as a sensitive alarm for its trainers. Despite its docile personality, it’s fiercely protective of its home and will defend its loved ones if danger is near.
Raticate

This Raticate has adapted to flight, using its large, wing-like ears to soar through the sky. Despite its newfound ability, it retains the affectionate and gentle nature of its pre-evolution, making it a favorite among trainers. It's often seen gliding around gardens or homes where it enjoys the company of other Pokémon and humans. It uses its flying abilities primarily to escape danger or to reach higher places in search of food.
Both of their designs are based on the fancy rat, particularly a Dumbo Fancy rat, which I feature their large ears. For Rattata, I took inspiration from Alolan Meowth and arrange his lavender and cream fur to resemble the various markings of the fancy rat.
For Raticate, I took inspiration from Dumbo himself, adding its Flying type.
