Detoxys is based on Leukocytes (white blood cells). They search for and hunt down Deoxys, adaptation to Deoxys fighting style caused them to develop similar form(e)s.
The Norma Forme is based on base Deoxys.
The Eradicator Forme is based on Attack Deoxys, it is meant to counter Defense Deoxys, by binding together its arms, when it tries to block attacks. This ability is inspired by “CD8+ T cells”, which bind antigens.
The Juggernaut Forme is based on Defense Deoxys, it is meant to counter Speed Deoxys, by presenting it with an all-round defensive formation without weakness. it can expand the white parts of its arms.
The Inquisitor Forme is based on Speed Deoxys and it meant to counter Attack Deoxys, by evading its attacks and quickly going on the offense, before the opponent can react. For this purpose the tentacles of this form became flat to minimize resistance. It can fold its body into a fast traveling form.

Ability: Mutate: Activates on the first turn the Pokémon is sent out. If the Pokémon moves before taking direct damage and has selected a physical/special move, it switches into the Eradicator form and uses its move. If the Pokémon moves before taking direct damage and has selected a status move, it switches into the inquisitor form and uses its move. If the Pokémon is about to take direct damage and has not made its move yet, it switches into the juggernaut form.
