I love the mustache and soul patch and the pattern on the shell! Reminds me of Master monks/Kung fu masters in old Chinese movies.

I’d give him ears with a little white tipped fluff on them kinda like wartortle but fits the evo line better in design. If this was the og, people would see the one with cannons like “wtf lol cannons on a turtle”. I love og blastoise but the changes from squirrel to wartortle are lost entirely so it’s kinda random design wise. Again, still love them lol

This would make me choose squirtle over charmander. Wartortle is so friggin cool nd the cannons ruin everything 😩

It could still work as pure water, but its bulk is reversed and probably faster than the kantonian (less spatk, decent physical attack)

Those tails bring to mind those old-timey Wave paintings from Japan that you see everywhere and Johto is supposed to be Steeped in Tradition.
