This is my CGC 10 1999-2000 "4th print" Charizard. If going by official population counts this card in a grade 10 across the big 3 grading companies is the rarest Base Set Charizard with:
PSA 10 POP 6
CGC 10 POP 1
BGS 10 POP 0
Total – 7
The only other one that comes close is the No Rarity Charizard with:
PSA 10 POP 9
CGC 10 POP 5 (1 pristine)
BGS 10 POP 0
Total – 14
It is not as clear cut as this though as originally the 1999-2000 variant was not recognised by PSA so some grade 10s still remain under the unlimited label. A lot have been put through the re-holder service to get the recognised label however a few still remain labelled as unlimited!
You may notice that my CGC 10 has also been incorrectly labelled! So the CGC 10 is actually POP 2. This mistake it the pure reason I was able to afford this card, especially as the last two grade 10 sales recently went for £34,000 & £40,000 this year in the UK! These figures could be considered cheap considering the price tag around the no-rarity charizard which has a similar difference to the Japanese unlimited run as the 1999-2000 set does to the English unlimited run!
