SS Lear was released after the first run of Steel 3v3, so of course I wanna get a few clears in using him, as he’s my best AOE Steel-type sync nuker (and maybe even single-target one too). With Steel being a stacked type now, he has quite a lot of teams, and I wanted to highlight these two as both of them got very similar scores.
The first is the typical sleep clear with Melony, but instead of NC Blue I use Variety Thorton for his Steel Zone. Pykuo has a much better run with this team on their channel where they got 4M: https://youtu.be/d6am0rNxuzg?si=1BbE4tL2JelzrqUH
The second clear takes advantage of the fact that Arc Steven buffs the team’s defenses at the same that he debuffs the opponent’s defenses, which means that Aaron can freely spam Defend Order. This is pretty much like Sing spam except it doesn’t require status on the opponent, and it’s one of the go-to strats for Super Sparring stages that are immune to status conditions.
I think the first team is better as I missed more sync crits there and I still got a slightly higher score, but I wanted to show that SS Lear really is a great unit for this stage. He might not be the best one – that honor probably goes to 10/5 Poppy – but he’s a very fun contender.
