Got a 'Casual' playgroup with practically no banlist, no rules on cards we can play and I'm looking to get smoother play from my Palkia League deck

Was having a few issues post VStar ability, trying to keep up with damage and getting enough energy around. I've looked at the Terapagos 8 bench lists, not really what I'm interested in. What I'm after are some trainers that'll get my energy back into action so I can keep up with Charizard and Regidrago.
Before this deck I played Gardevoir and really enjoyed its ability to constantly built up it's offence.
Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated, thanks.
