If Niantic tried to manually hide those counters from ceratin mons they would probably disable pokeball throwing accidentaly or something

A. It is coded as the regular pokedex.
B. You can trade mythicals in the future.

We should be allowed to trade certain mythicals at least. Like the ones we can raid for.

So they can eventually sell us an item where you can only trade it to a Lucky friend. Sure hope there isn’t any item in the code yet that already sounds like it’s a pay-to-force-Lucky-status with someone.
Oh. Wait.

Niantic can hardly keep the game running smooth after 8 years. If they make 1 little code change to a old feature then they’ll probably break the game completely lol
