Theory: trade evolutions are just shortcuts

In pokemon games , especially the newer ones we can sometimes find pokemon's that need to be traded to evolve in the wild and while they could be just released pokemon it's unlikely due to how Many of them we can find , what if they were newer captured by any trainer and there are ways for pokemon that normally need to be traded to evolve , to evolve in the wild and it's just very hard or i takes a long time.
Evidence:
– a lot of stellix's pokedex entries says that if onix lives for over 100 years it becomes harder than diamond/diamondlike and it evolves into stellix ( that last part only in heart gold ) or that its body transformed as a result of iron accumulation from swallowing soil.
-A lot of not fully evolved pokemon's that can evolve throught trading are already strong and tottaly capable to survive alone in the wild and even defeat fully evolved pokemon for example haunter and kadabra have a special attack stats of 115 and 120 respectively , that is higher than a lot of fully evolved pokemon like all starters final forms.

In nature these pokemon could probably evolve throught for example hard training:
-Kadabra could evolve into Alakazam when it masters his psychic Powers.
-Machoke would need to be as physically strong as possible for machoke to be (it could be similar for Gurdurr)
Or a proces that takes a lot of time like
-Afformentioned Onix evolving into Steelix
-Hunter could evolve into Gengar by just being old enough.

Pokemon's that evolve by trading while holding an item could just evolve by just holding that item for a very long time.
