I based my team off of my favorites and Pokémon that mean something to me, so here’s each one and why they are in the team: Mew and Lapras (favorite overall pokés), Piplup (childhood first starter, Pokémon diamond), Serperior (first card deck and favorite to battle with), Breloom (favorite to battle with), and Bulbasaur (fav first gen starter)
My username is Grassi and I’ve always stuck with grass and water types, so that’s also why I included these types only…minus mew bc mew is my all time favorite and had to be included 🙂
My favorite thing about this piece is that I had been using some serious muscle memory drawing lapras and mew before I even realized I wasn’t using references for them, and realized that it’s because when I was a kid I drew them all the time, I just haven’t drawn them in probably over 8 years or so. It’s crazy to have nostalgia about your own creations, it makes me want to draw more Pokémon to see how many more were like that 😀
