When I was a kid and got my first pokemon game, I didn't know much about how it worked. I got a geodude early in the game and evolved him to a graveler, and expected to evolve him into the Golem I'd grown up seeing in the show. I didn't know you had to trade some pokemon to evolve them. I just kept levelling him up all the way to when the blue exp bar hit the far end on level 99, and when he didnt evolve I was pretty upset. But by then old mate Graveler had become my main association with Pokemon, and he was overpowered enough to blast through the rest of the game without even worrying about typing. Cut to 20 odd years later, and I figured he'd be a good guy to have in a case sitting on my desk. I'm not a card collector, but this will be fun to look at once in a while.
