Ok so i just recently got the pokehype and really wanted to re-live the nostalgia of the happiness i felt as a kid, pokemon silver was my first video game ever with a gameboy color and was the only pokemon game i owned until emerald.
Fast forward to 2 days ago i started playing again in an anbernic i got as a gift and decided to play crystal instead bc of the moving sprites and the " battle something ? " at the end that pokemon silver didn't have. So i've been watching A LOT of gen 2 related videos, tier lists, easter eggs, obscure facts etc etc and then i see this video

Where at minute 7:30 he says " while cerulean cave was cut " and there is no cave but there is an item where the entrance was, i said 2 things
1: what do you mean "cerulean cave was cut"? I went inside and catched mewtwo at lvl 70 the first time i played??
2: have NEVER heard of this item before nod did i ever see it bc the entrance to the cave was there!
I then do a quick google and i see this result:
" In Generation II, Cerulean Cave completely collapsed but the leftovers of Mewtwo's presence remain and are found in the lake near the cave, in the form of the item Berserk Gene. In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Cerulean Cave has been rebuilt and Mewtwo can once again be found inside. "
What do you mean in HG/SS?? I went there in the original silver game
Then i start looking for videos of people catching mewtwo and there are none? I start watching full playthroughs of g/s/c and no one is catching mewtwo and all i see is video with titles like " how toget mewtwo in pokemon crystal without cheats and all i think is: " why would you need a cheat if it's there?!
There is video with how mewtwo encounters have changed over the years and the one missing is from g/s/c
WTH IS GOING ON?? I feel like i'm going insane, like marty mcfly went back and messed my reality, there is no way it's all in my head, please someone tell me i'm not crazy bc i'm not that far into the game to see for myself 😭😭😭😭😭
