It’s not 100% a thing, but so many generations have a Geodude-like Pokemon that pops up in caves. My version took a somewhat darker turn. Its ability is a nod to how dripping water in caves forms stalagmites.
Spelunklet (Rock) the Stalagmite Fakemon: “It buries itself in cave floors, using its head to hide among rock formations”
Cavernave (Rock/Dark) the Cave Guide Fakemon: “Solemn and unpredictable, Cavernaves are just as likely to lead travelers through their caves as they are to strand them.”
Abilities: Sturdy, Rock Head, (HA) Mineral Water – Defense raises one stage when hit with a water-type move.
