I love when Pokemon decides to make a hot dark-skinned buff man with a buzzcut

The guy in pic #3 isn’t dark skinned… Unless there’s some lighting shenanigans going on

I think it may come from a stereotype of black men depictions (even if of course, not all of these characters might be “black”. But still, a stereotype of the most known race with dark skin). Personally as a black person I’m not always thrilled to see black characters being bald/having a buzzcut and being buff all the time, but pokémon really makes up for this with all the other black and dark skinned characters with marvelous hair and different body types!
I really appreciate that they’re trying, at the end of the day it’s all representation. And pokémon is one of the most properly inclusive franchises I’ve ever seen. (btw you forgot this guy)
They’ve gotten much better with designing black people, certainly better than sole anime I remember from when I was younger lol. These guys actually look cool.
