The problem with so many collections challenges is that there often seems to be 1 pokemon, that just doesn't spawn during the event. On the last day of a recent one, my wife was using our daily incense, while I drove the car and she caught me one, we both needed but she didn't get one for herself and mine was the only one we saw for a 4-5 day event. It's very annoying.
The weather thing is always odd because what's cold to people in one location, like LA, don't know what cold means to a Highlander in Scotland (me, where -2C when the sun is out, is t-shirt weather) or a Canadian in midwinter, when it can get down to minus 50C but they still have to go out in that.
