These new hard bodied himbos are posers, the Hiker should always be this marshmallowy gentleman and his cousins. He seems like he would give good hugs.

I’ve personally always been a fan of the Platinum Hiker. Something about them just feels a little extra friendly for some reason.

Would be cool if they had a mix; OG Hiker could be Ace/professional Hiker while the younger one could be amateur/newbie.

This may be nostalgia talking but I sometimes prefer the older sprites. The ones now just don’t stand out to me.
I miss trainer classes in general, in SV we had like students and a couple of others but not the whole diversity of hikers, fisherman, youngsters etc. Forget diversity in region and character options, that is the diversity I want.

It was super sad realizing that halfway through the development of S/V they realized they had no time to develop more NPCs so they just slapped students clothes of top of most of them and called it a day.
Ace trainers, Aroma Ladies, Bug catchers, Ninja kids, Chonky Hikers, Cringey Pokemon Fans, I want them all back.
For real though, when I need to draw my partner as a cute, handsome big cartoon guy, Pokemon always has my back on body models there. They are like, one of the super few franchises that includes diversity in male bodies for non-comedic reasons and draws appealing and respectful dad bods.
