  1. Scopely is pure trash. The game will probally be behind a thicker paywall and a helluva lot mroe buggy. Couldve sold it to EA and it would be the exact same thing

  2. Pokemon GO is dead. Not even talking about anything post 2017, but 3 years ago it was still good. Scopely is going to put the nail on the coffin.

  3. They not selling game
They selling the data from pokemon go collected like people travel route
We play pokemon go back then while showing us our trip line daily

  4. If anything, the game is already hard enough for F2P players. the only thing they can really make worse than Niantic is make pokecoins even harder to get. spending 4 days instead of 2 just for 1 ticket to play a remote raid is vile enough

  5. Bring back remote raids and add a public queue where you can join a random raid lobby if you dont have enough players irl.

  6. lol… they won’t answer to anyone. They will get money thrown at them until it’s irrelevant again just like every other shitty micro transaction ridden excuse for a game

  7. I played Monopoly Go and if they make Pokemon Go anything like it (unless it is already like this idk because I never played it), it's going to die really quickly.

  8. Find it funny that people are taking human rights angle to not play the game when the US is ROUTINE abuser of human rights in other countries. It's literally sanctioning the ICC and fight8ng with the UN. Sure, dont play the game, but dont take the moral high ground. Your country is just as bad if not worse.

  9. I play pikmin bloom (also niantic), and ive noticed that the game is becoming more and more p2w. This aint lookin good bruh

  10. Here’s hoping the prices of remote raid passes finally go down can’t handle this Niantic inflation anymore

  11. Scopely is incredibly bad news. As someone that’s heavily invested in the mobile gaming space, Monopoly Go is one of the single most predatory games out there. Within the hero collector genre Marvel Strike Force also has a horrible reputation. They add a new gear tier every few months, and that gear is required for all of the new legendary toons. And forget even attempting to start a new account, you will literally never be competitive. By contrast, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes is completely slashing the barrier to entry. Reaching level 85 is no longer a 6 month slog, now it takes all of like a month, and you’ll be plenty busy until that point. On top of that, they introduced Lightspeed Bundles, which are incredibly cheap packs that can give you some of the strongest toons in the game almost immediately. All Scopely cares about is money, SWGoH at least has devs that care about the community and fostering goodwill

  12. I dont know why they would spend so much to turn it into trash. We already have like 4 different passes you can buy per event. What else could they do? I'm someone who has been playing essentially since 2018 (though I started playing at launch but got bored after a month) and I'm fairly happy with the game but I think a new company that wants to keep their game alive may do some interesting things to make sure it thrives. Pokemon Go lives and dies by its community so alienating players will absolutely decimate the remaining players, leading to a shutdown. I also imagine Game Freak would step in if things got that bad. I'm not too worried, slightly optimistic even.

  13. Pokemon go was dead for years so it doesn't really matter
but i hope they at least listen to the community a bit more and not just about the money from kids
