For those who don’t know, the Drop Bear is a fictional Australian folklore creature that’s said to be an aggressive carnivorous koala bear. Because when you live in Australia its hard to come up with fictional creatures that are more terrifying then what’s already there.
This is also an opportunity to introduce the first ghost/normal type with base Komala being a solo normal type mon.
The backstory obviously brings to mind darkrai, and perhaps there would be some kind of connection, but I realized while making the lore and design that it also brings to mind annihilape. Another gen evo that takes an old pokemon and physical traumas them into a ghost type. Which is why channelers have said they give off a similar energy wavelength.
Perhaps this can also be expanded into some kind of emotion based legendary trio that connects the cruel fates of Primeapes and Komalas to some ghost type god of vengeance.
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
