  1. Seeing Ash’s Lucario beat the unbeatable, Cynthia’s Garchomp was literally breath taking. Best moment by far in the series.

  2. Yeah Ash vs Steven should've impacted Ash and his friends If he lost, but he should've lost, also Leon should've lost to Dianta and we she or Cynthia should be champion 🏆. Ash and Leon can reflect on their loss and linking them close with their bond with their pokemon so that the next time when they return for the master's 8 their battle will reflect on their journey to redemption and then see them face each other in the finals. Ash would have Greninja back with Lucario and an overrated bond that affects Ash with his life. In battle the layout would be Ash facing Iris or Alan then Steven while Leon faces Lance, Cynthia or Dianta. I say or because they face one another first.😢

  3. Ash's win against Steven makes him more of an underdog, imo. With so many saying he should have lost, it seems like he'll lose one of the next battles, especially if he's against Leon.

  4. When you realize that Leon’s rillaboom the same one that swept 5 of dianthas Pokémon was beaten by Alain’s Charizard in its GMAX FORM

  5. If i could permanently delete something from my memory it would be leon x diantha (except gmax charizard vs mega gardevoir, that part wasn't so bad imo), the disrespect towards diantha was crazy

  6. They could have made a group stage game like in sports. Group 1 and 2 with 4 trainers each, and top 2 from each group face in the semis. In that way we could have got Ash vs Alain rematch, Ash vs Diantha and Ash vs Steven/Lance.

  7. Not to mention Ash brought the worst team to battle Steven Pikachu, Gengar, Dracovish when he knows Steven uses mostly Steel Types he could have brought Lucario but no he brings Dracovish who gets destroyed

  8. They all should've been 6v6 that take up an entire episode. But no, they have to be the shortest battles in pokemon history. Ash vs samurai was longer than this shit.

  9. Bro this was supoose to be the climax, the Endgame of Pokemon, but the company just had to rush the animation team

  10. Should have been ash vs alain ash vs Cynthia then ash vs Leon because he had history with all 3 them and chemistry

  11. Fun fact: Cynthia planned to retire after the Masters 8. However, Ash inspired her to stay champion much longer.

  12. happy to see dyantha win when she has a type advantage and dragon moves are ineffective against her mons

  13. Let’s not forget how the people who made this video disrespected the classic & fair tournament system of the 1 seed vs the 8 seed and 3 seed vs 6 seed just so they could make sure that Leon doesn’t battle Ash first round, but at the finale. They needed another random top 4 to make Ash lose to, so of course they threw Steven under the bus. Would’ve been less controversial if they just gave Ash the 6 seed, so Steven at least had a reason to get matched by Ash.

  14. I dont see why ppl hate the steven battle. Cradily got trapped in electro web and ate an iron tail to the face, no shit its dead. Then you got aggron which got burnt with will o wisp and then metagross got hit with a zmove(200 bsp btw)and died with a iron tail to the brain.

edit: im reading the comments and everyone is saying ash should of lost. DO OYU GUYS JUST WANT HIM TO FAIL?

  15. 5. Sorry but, if Ash lost that battle…. he wouldn't even face Leon and reach the goal of the Journeys series anyways. :T

  16. leon was just random plot , like he spawned out of nowhere same goes for his charizard that won against a mega charizard x who swept 10 mega pokemon in a row and could go up against legendarys

  17. i prefer cynthia as final boss bro… leon just hype dude with strong bond for his pokemon, cynthia have that to but she used strategy and logic to win…

she just wrong using gigantimax rather than mega evolution…

  18. I feel like Ash vs Cynthia was a better battle. Visually not as great but strategically better. That battle felt like it wasn’t a who had stronger Pokémon or who had more gimmicks but who was a better trainer and more adapt and was a great showcase of Ash’s ability as a trainer and Cynthia’s.

Instead of brute forcing the battle Cynthia quickly flipped any plans Ash had expected to deal with being Mega Garchomp and instead Dynamaxxed Togekiss which to any other trainer would have thrown them off enough to gain a huge lead for her and everyone was sort of expecting it and she threw a curve ball that if he wasn’t so adaptable he might have stumbled from the change in direction from what he was expecting. Then comes his ace Pikachu being taken out so easily with a destiny bond as Cynthia knew it was Ash’s toughest Pokémon to deal with and the battle changed completely with it became a test of how he was able to make his other Pokémon shine instead of being just a support for his Aces.

Unlike Leon’s battle which was Ash having more gimmicks and plot the battle the battle with Cynthia felt like it could have gone either way and instead of a visual cumulation of Ash’s journey through his gimmicks it felt like a cumulation through his showcase in his growth as a trainer through his many journeys with new Pokémon having to learn and adapt to his new and opponents new Pokémon instead of just throwing Charizard at a Chikorita and sweeping a new region without advancing like he did in Johto before realizing it wasn’t making him and Charizard grow. I’m also biased towards Cynthia so if you want to say I’m giving Cynthia a lot you can but I still think a good few of my point still stands at least In my own opinion and what I thought watching the two fights.
