A professor studying the unknown makes a discovery of an unusual evolution that is referenced in some old ruins. (Actually having studied the incident, ruins, and research of Professor Hale from the 3rd movie) The ruins depict a book with shapes that resemble the Unknown. Mistaking it as an important piece of literature at first, then coming to the thought that it was actually a Pokémon. He gets the idea that a certain type of Pokémon, when introduced to the unknown, may trigger the evolution for a powerful book Pokémon to appear.
Only to find that Untome holds all of its own past history and mentions human involvement.
Plot- past humans used Untome to trap an ancient Pokémon that made progress difficult, the Unwritten One. To hide the history of this all of the Eulobees were relocated to prevent an Untome from appearing. The professor wants to either unleash an old forgotten Pokémon, or create one that will upset the balance of the world. Legendary Pokémon can sense it and try to stop him.
Our protagonist enter the scene when they hear of the legendary dogs being spotted nearby, also a noted spot for having Gyarados is just full of Magikarp. Signs of multiple baby Pokémon being spotted but no adults.
“It has taken quite some time, but it has finally happened. I have reintroduced the world to a Pokémon that has been hidden from existence, and now I believe I know why.
Since acquiring Untome I believe Legendary Pokémon can sense the change that is bound to happen. I have been pursued by Pokémon. The legendary dogs have been trying to stop me, but even they will have to adapt to change.
Untome is capable of great feats on its own but more so if accompanied by three other Pokémon which I’ve acquired, Hatterene, Mismagius, and Delphox. These Pokemon make up a coven and with them Untome can be used to cast spells of devastation and creation. It’s no coincidence that these Pokémon appear the way they do.
I have discovered and used a few of Untome’s spells whilst being chased.
Teleportation, bearing some close calls with Entei this ability has aided me greatly in escape.
De-evolution field. Continuously moving was not ideal for setting up a ritual. With the coven Untome can create a large area effect that reverts Pokemon to their weakest form. Essentially de-evolving Pokémon for a period or constantly if they stay inside the radius. After casting this spell the Legendary Pokémon have been keeping their distance from my base.
Enchanted Ball. The Untome can enchant a pokeball to trap strong Pokémon. I’ve set several up as a defensive measure.
Pokémon Alchemy. It seems mankind has constructed Pokémon before and has continued to do so with advances in technology, but Pokémon held that recipe all along. With the collected pieces i.e. fur, scales, claws, and the ooze of a ditto. One can create a pseudo Pokémon.
Just know I am doing this to course correct our history. Significant change can be scary, but humankind is resilient. We can survive this and maybe come out stronger than before.”
