I love Alpha Sapphire, and I do plan on completing the Delta Episode, Hoenn Pokédex, and shiny hunting a few legendaries. This game and Pokémon X made me a true Pokémon fan. My first game was Pokémon Black, but I used to wear glasses, so the pixel-art just made my head hurt real bad, so it was great when the 3D games came out, and I could finally play Pokémon without getting a headache. When I became older, I bought and played through every gen, though, and think Pokémon White and White 2 are definitely the best Pokémon games, from an objective standpoint. However, AS is still my personal favorite. What it lacked with the character customization that Gen 6 introduced, it made up for with secret bases, tons of areas to explore, and the post-game legendary hunt… you know, before that became the norm in every generation afterwards. I spent hours training my Pokémon in AS to battle with my friends, decorating my Secret Base into the perfect base of operations, and catching every legendary in the series (up to that point). I’m glad to have gone back to revisit it.
