Does the size of the sleeve affect card quality?

So,I got into the hobby recently and got some sleeves for my hits but when they arrived, I noticed it was kinda difficult to put the cards in them
I was wondering if I should get some bigger sleeves to prevent damage in the cards
P.S: I’m fron Portugal so even if I wanted to sell them, it is very hard to grade them or sell them here
