I made Pokedexes for my Galar sequel fan game and has Pokedexes for the Mainland, The Isle of Armour and The Crown Tundra. There are also Pokémon who are not registered by any Pokedex but you can obtain them anyways. I was planning to make the Isle of Armour and The Crown Tundra to be part of the story. There are new existing Pokémon and new Fakémon added in the dex. There are also new Galarian Forms which are Patrat, Watchog, Dustox and Beautifly. I also included some Pokémon from The Isle of Armour and The Crown Tundra into the mainland Galar dex and vice versa as some made more sense that way.
Any New Galarian Forms will have their original forms as a placeholder as I didn't make the sprites for them yet and new pokemon will have the Pokeball placeholder for the same reason. In this fan game, You start in Wyndon and you would be going back there multiple times so it serves as a hub word of sorts. You have to go through the Minor Division first in order to get an endorsement for the Major Division.
For the non-registered Pokemon, You would get these guys from Trades (e.g. Trade Johtonian Wooper for Paldean Wooper) and for the Legendaries/Ultra Beasts, you would encounter them in Dynamax Adventures.
Some Mythicals will get their own special side quest events like Meltan, Melmetal and Zarude as boss fights.
There will also be a new Mythical based on Merlin who in the lore is stated to have forged the Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield all those years ago.
