The only reason I got back into ripping packs and collecting after 20+ years is because of the sheer excitement and joy I get out of watching my 4-year-old son and my wife opening packs with me. I could care less about getting any good hits, as long as they are having fun and are happy with their pulls, I am too. Sometimes I’ll even sell some of my higher ticket cards to the LCS nearby to buy more packs for them. I truly love that they love the hobby. 🥰

My boyfriend got me back into it after not opening packs for at least 20 years.
He says it’s his favorite thing to do with me because of how excited I get to open packs. We’ve got a decent little collection of our favorites and he always tries to get me my favorite cards, Charmander. He’s gotten me a few graded ones and they’re so so special to me.

I don’t collect, I’ve enjoyed playing but my partner is a huge huge fan. Anything I pull goes to them or to the kids at the lgs as extra prizes. You should see their faces over a 6 dollar card. The way it lights up is priceless. I’ve always liked Pokémon but having someone who just loves the TCG and engages in their community is infectious. 10/10.
