Sugimori watercolor art style is always the best for Pokemon.
Body proportions are much better, and the more natural/monster looking eyes are a significant improvement over the newer style of “happy cartoon” eyes.

They all look 10x better, idk if their evolutions are fixable though…
I sure wonder what their second and third evolutions would look like…..

Whenever I see something like this post, it reminds me of Prodigy math game and their pet redesigns. Before, they were very monster-y, but now they’re more colorful and cartoony. I like both styles for different reasons tbh
Only the duck could’ve been a starter. The crocodile might’ve made for an interesting fossil / egg. The laziness and outright gall did not yet exist for a “grass cat”.

Idk, these designs look nice on their own but seem to miss some key details of the originals. For example, the leaf pattern on Sprigatito’s face that becomes Meowscarada’s mask, Fuecoco’s little hairs are supposed to resemble twigs that become the nest on Crocalor’s head, not a big branch. Quaxly feels different, but i dont think its missing anything, water droplet on the head is a cool idea.

This look kind of uncanny to me. Probably I get used to their original designs.

We wouldn’t have bs wilds areas that have a cap on what you’re allowed to catch. And maybe a better story? Sign me up!

I would kill for demake of s/v in r/b/y style. Doesn’t even need to have all the fancy new features, just give me the new dex and swap gym leaders and e4 members.
Jimshrimp
I actually prefer these body proportions to their official versions, expertly done!

Then I’d probably forgive the bugs a little more.
