I know people say Kabutops is the Pokémon Genesect is from, which, I'm not saying is wrong, but, I think it also eventually became Scyther. Proof: Shiny Kabutops is green, like the entire Scyther line (yes I know plenty of early gen shinies were green, but still enough of a connection), both Scther and Kabutops have scthe like arms, they have similar eye shapes (yes I know most Pokémon have similar eyes to others), both have clawed feet (yes, I know plenty do, but I don’t think many bugs do and I'm pretty sure if it wasn't a fossil, Kabutops would be Bug Water), and both their heads have a spiked back. I don't think I've heard this theory anywhere else, so I figured I'd post it.
