I’m a big fan of Pokémon. I played it when I was younger and have always loved it. Recently, I started building part of a website that helps people learn and quiz themselves on information about Pokémon. It’s focused on the original 151 Pokémon, and the idea is that users can pick and choose what they want to learn and be quizzed on. It’s designed to be a fun memory challenge.
Right now, for each Pokémon, I include:
- Pokédex number
- Generation
- Name
- Types
- Weaknesses
- Height
- Weight
- A signature move
- First episode they appeared in
- An image of the Pokémon
I’m looking for feedback from the community:
What other general information do you think would be useful or fun to include for each Pokémon?
The goal is for people to challenge themselves and have a fun, general knowledge of each Pokémon. I don't think information dealing with stats or trading card details would be common to learn unless that’s something a lot of people would want.
I'm especially asking now because I’m about to start translating everything into 40 different languages, and I’d love to get the full structure nailed down before I begin. It’s hard to go back and re-translate or reformat everything later.
So:
- Is there any general or fun info you think should be added for each Pokémon?
- What kinds of facts do you think would be cool to remember or get quizzed on?
