I have been a Pokemon fan since the age of 3, starting out with the anime and then moving into the games when I got myself my first console (the original DS) alongside Leaf Green and Emerald as my first ever games.
I continued to buy and play all of the games since then, but around the gen 8 era, my interest in Pokemon began to fall off a little. I was a university student at this point, nearing my graduation.
I turned 30 this year and have a fulltime job now and even though I bought both Scarlet and Violet for collection sake, I only played a bit of Violet but dropped the game pretty quickly afterwards and never picked it up again.
I'm a teacher so currently I'm on summer break and I really want to try picking up the games again as they were such a big comfort to me for a long time.
I own almost all of the games released aside from the ones released on non-handheld consoles. For a vast majority of these, I have the actual cartridge but there's a couple where I only have the digital or virtual console version.
Since Kanto is the region which is most nostalgic to me (with the anime and Leaf Green), I was thinking of picking up the franchise again by playing through Let's Go Eevee. I know these games are somewhat controversial but I enjoyed them a lot on release and Eevee (+ Sylveon) is also my favorite Pokemon.
Any other tips you guys can give me to help me rekindle my love for Pokemon games?
