Just wanted to share this to yall, this is my first ever Fakémon! It’s the Pikaclone of my future region I'm planning on doing. If you want to redesign it I would really appreciate it, since I personally think it needs some improvement since I’m not that good at drawing in the Pokémon artstyle. I really like the concept though and I’m personally pretty proud of the idea. Also if you like this Pokémon and would want to see more, consider leaving a comment down in the comment section! Neruzumi: The running Pokémon.
Type: Electric.
Description: Neruzumi has to constantly run around all day to keep its body awake. When it stops running it will almost instantly fall asleep so it has evolved large feet so it can be able to run more easily.
The name comes from the Japanese words for mouse (nezumi) and sleep (neru) and the middle “zum” also sounds like zoom, which of course is a word related to speed.
This Pokémon is based on mice, more specifically dormice, since they are known to sleep a lot and hibernate for a very long time. The fact that they and many other mice related to it (like jerboas and kangaroo mice) have long feet, and also that exercise usually is a good way to be more active inspired me to make this Pokémon. I made it have a face pattern that look like a sleeping mask and made the electric cheeks that most Pikaclones have into bags under it’s eyes to show that it’s tired. Also the electric bolt tail looks like a Z! (At least when it’s facing the right direction lol)
(Also i’m sorry if it’s kinda bad, this is one of my first time making a Fakémon at this level. Also i drew it on paper and then traced it digitally afterwards so that’s why it looks kinda wonky)
