With Mable being back, she could tell us exactly when the events of XY took place, since she was a Team Flare admin during that time and worked with Lysandre, coming into contact with the hero of Kalos, Calem/Serena, twice.
Both times, she lost to them and faced a humiliating (but deserved) defeat.
Then, a series of events would unfold because of this, ultimately leading to Team Flare's demise and her being out of the job until she somehow became like an acting director/acting professor of Lumiose City????
Maybe she is how we learn how long it has been since XY? Since her life (alongside AZ and Emma's) so far has changed the most, she used to be a mad scientist; now she is…just a scientist?
So maybe we could get a year from her about how many years it was since she was defeated, and then perhaps when she was reformed (assuming she was) and the time she spent as the Pokémon acting lead director.
Which begs the question, will we get stuff for timeline for things regarding other characters. Like AZ is all about time, he is an immortal after all, so maybe he talks bout since he did in XY?
