This really annoys me. After already passing a step that requires the 21 different days. I saw it again and thought, holy crap that’s so annoying. That’s BEFORE I checked what the idol platinum medal is.
You have to have TWENTY friends with maxed out friendship.
I have 9, and a tenth only a few days off. Anyone beyond that will take at MINIMUM another 2 months to get probably 5-6 and beyond that I’m looking at probably 90ish days for the remaining 5.
And tbh, I don’t enjoy the gift mechanic. Even with the speed glitch it’s an annoying waste of time and makes me feel obligated to be in the app instead of wanting to be there.
I don’t remember if I paid for this research, but I’m basically not gonna actually work to make this one happen cus there aren’t 10 additional people I wanna actively talk to to get it done faster.
Oh yeah, it’s also summer in Texas. I’m not gonna always have enough gifts cus it’s too hot to go to places with stops and harvest them everyday.
Anyway, annoyed rant over.

Host some remote raids on Go Raid Party or Poke Genie and you’ll have a few dozen more friends to level up pretty quickly.
Send out all of your gifts, and your buddy will find five more for you every day, even if there are no stops nearby. It’ll get them from miles away.
It’s not fun, but there are solutions.
r/PokemonGoFriends is a good way to get friends all you need to do is put your friend code in a post and lots of people will add you, it helped with my badges
I might’ve written it poorly, but I think people believe I’m saying I don’t have enough friends to ever become best friends with. I already use the raiding apps and I’m sure there are people there I’ve never met, that if I did it in bulk, I would probably be able to get it in 90 days.
My problem is the 90 days, if they don’t take breaks
No offense but it’s a skill issue (as in a you problem) 🙂 you could make this happen, just you need to figure it out at some point.
People open those gifts not for items, but with the idea that they will be rewarded in XP, so majority has a lot of friends and those who don’t usually don’t even buy paid researches.
Also whats the pointin forcing this research? Donęrush eventually you will finish it. The way you rant is that you do obligated stuff each day and can’t finish this research. Focus on other things, enjoy game , before bed open/send gifts and it will come naturally.

It’s masterwork, so it’s meant to take time. A marathon not a sprint, which is why the reward is so nice. One of the other masterwork tasks took me 6.5 months and it wasn’t one I had much control over. At least this one you have control over it.
If you are strategic and dedicated, you can knock this one out AND get a nice xp boost out of it. Go over the Pokemon go friends sub and make a post that you are looking to get to best friends quickly so you want friends committed to sending you 90 straight days of gifts with a focus on interaction. Add 20 people on the same day. Don’t just add 10 because some of them will drop off/miss days, etc. Give them a nickname. Open their gifts first. On the 90th day, wait until late in your day to open your app. Pop an egg and open those friends gifts for millions of xp in minutes. A nice level up plus your shiny meleotta or whatever.
Will it take a bit of time? Yes. Is the worst task in the game? No.
Sincerely, someone in the game who has 450 friends and aims to level up with at least 80 daily, 125+ when the gift limit is temporarily increased.
