That’s wild. I bought mine at target like a year ago

  2. Dago_Duck

They’re not making these anymore. So if you want one, you just have to be lucky to get one of the few that are still in stock.
Apparently there’s a new version coming, but no one knows when exactly they’re up for sale.

  3. Chardan0001

I just suggest people grab a third party one for half the price. The ability to throw Great/Ultra with a press is not worth twice the price.

  4. komrad308

I just bought two of eBay for 60 each free shipping from Japan

  5. Cultural_Pattern_456

I just got one at Walmart in-store for $30, check your locals!

  6. I find it crazy that they no longer manufacture these and still haven’t released an app for smartwatches

  7. Tomato_Buffalo

I encountered the same problem so I bought one from Amazon Japan as they’re apparently still selling these for basically the same price compared to launch. I just had to create a new Amazon account as Amazon jp does use different account systems somehow, other than that, you just need to wait some time (around 4 weeks in my case) but it’s still better than paying double

I’m still using my OG Gotcha I bought in 2018. Best £28 I’ve spent. That thing has caught and span an insane amount.

  9. I dream of a day where it would be on your apple watch or any other watch that could have this feature.

I ordered the one from the Japan Amazon store at around $50 about a month ago now!

Excited to see other comments saying there is a rumored new one, I’ve had the plus and plus+,v my plus+ has been dropped 1000 times over the years and washed full cycle in the washer and still works. It even made the speakers and vibration stop working, so it’s basically an upgrade.

More people realize it’s a useful tool for pogo like me I need one!

  13. Charlocks

Yikes. I bought two of these earlier this year before Go Tour from Target at about $50 each, after ordering 2 of it for my partner and I, they were labeled as sold out. Ours somehow took a long time to arrive too, assuming those were the very few remaining stocks left. Guess we got lucky.

  14. Slamsonthegee

Got one on eBay from a JP reseller. I think it came out to $55

  15. There’s lots of third party ones much cheaper and do the same and more then this.

  16. AelanxRyland

Oh dang. Glad I got one for Christmas when they first came out. I wanted to get a second one for travel but yeah that’s too expensive

  17. Eggowithmilk

Would this make the pokeball controller less or more expensive

  18. Vaelthune

This was the same with the Pokeball, learned my lesson first time around and bought two of them on launch so I could have a spare.

Unlike the Pokeballs though, the plus+’s have easily replaceable batteries (joycon batteries), charging ports, etc

  19. Wtf
I got one in the Ikebukuro Pokémon Center for about £30

  20. 99-Percent-Germ

I bought 2 of the pokeballs that has a Mew. I used one, the other is stored.

  21. AdRepulsive9625

We got ours like two months ago from Walmart.

  22. A little off topic but does have recommendations for a good one ? 3rd party is fine (kinda preferred)
I just want to catch and spin stops while I’m walking instead of having to be on my phone or press any buttons

Been trying to compare them all but not sure who to go with.

  23. otorres15

I was gonna say it’s because they stop making them I believe so now they up up in price

  24. TheReckoningMonkey

As noted by others, there are lots of third-party catchers out there. I bought [this one](https://www.amazon.com/Brook-Pocket-Auto-Catch-Plus-iOS/dp/B09M6MX64Z/ref=sw_img_d_rtpb_tpfy_unified_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B09M6MX64Z&pd_rd_w=YsNn2&content-id=amzn1.sym.d51cb84b-32ad-43e2-8a12-1a7ea7baeeb5&pf_rd_p=d51cb84b-32ad-43e2-8a12-1a7ea7baeeb5&pf_rd_r=QMXJ2TQH8QE9G3SJ6FCK&pd_rd_wg=PIPeL&pd_rd_r=217e2ef8-47bc-4a63-9623-dd65ee6bb31b) about 6 months ago and have been pretty happy with it. Unfortunately a lost it at the beach last week, so I’ve been using an old backup knock-off go+ that is total garbage. It disconnects about every 4 minutes. So time to buy a new bracelet I suppose.

  25. Last_Substance_2780

I got mine for 65.oo a month ago from Amazon

  26. aidandeeps

I bought one a few months ago when I really started getting back into go for $70. Seems like since they’re not sold anymore the price just keeps going up. Maybe I should’ve bought a second and kept it sealed….🤣

  27. TheDuckMarbles

That’s insane. I got one back in December from Walmart and it was like 55 USD. My gf was shopping around for them recently and I ended up getting her a 3rd party one cause the price was ridiculous compared to off brand models

  28. I bought 3 of those things when they first launched at $50 per, so I’m lucky I still have 2 extra Go Plus+ units left.

  29. Dilligaf_22

I got a third party one that I connect 2 accounts to auto catch and spin stops at the same time

  30. backslashdotcom

I just bought one from Japan on Ebay which cost me $62.91 USD including shipping and tax. It works the same but I did notice the back panel has printed text on it while my US one has nothing. It doesn’t affect it, just a neat difference between units.

  31. PinkBoxPro

The same thing that happened to the rest of Pokemon Go, in general, they saw everyone coming and decided to turn it into a wallet draining simulator.

  32. daneccleston86

    INFWATION

Nah , not in stock in Nintendo , scalp prices

  33. Zestyclose_Gas_2080

I’ve seen some slightly cheaper ones on eBay

  34. RogerCrabbit

I was considering buying one when it was $50-$60, no way I’d spend $100 though

  35. WolfAquarianBeast

I remember when new video games used to be $49

  36. AdVegetable5896

I still have the pokeball+ but I don’t use him anymore xD

  37. lunas2525

    Scalpers and low supply.

I did pickup one recently for 50 still but… Yeah…

  38. my first one was a dud, was under Amazon’s warranty and exchanged it for a new one

had this one for 2 years, looks very worn yet still works like a charm

  39. neutralliberty

I saw these in the pokemon store in Shibuya for like 6,500 yen (~$44USD) like 2 months ago when I was there, apparently I should have stocked the fuck up and resold them 🤣
