Haven't played this gen in ages and had a recent hankering for some pixel-gen mon. I decided to do a playthrough using Pokemon I've never used in this gen before. There are some glaring weaknesses on this team, but managed to middle through the Elite 4 with everyone at Lv 52 (could probably have done it a Lv. 48, but ran out of revives after Lance lmao).
Loreleai ended up being one of the harder fights. Giga-drain Exeggutor, thunderbolt-Nidoqueen, and ancient power Aerodactyl all weak against water/ice lmao.
Next up: should I do OG gold/silver or heart gold/soul silver. I love the pixel art from the OG game but the pools for some of the Pokemon are straight doodoo

Souls silver. Also I’ve never in my life seen anyone use Jynx. How was she ?
We must be on a similar wavelength. I just finished up yellow and started silver this evening.
